St. Ambrose Catholic Women's League Yarmouth, Dorothy Powell, member of 71 years celebrates her 100th birthday. Members Helen LeBlanc and Carol LeBlanc bring congratulations at the open house in her honour at Treasured Memories.

Happy Birthday, Sadie
On November 6th, 2016, Sadie Graham celebrated her 104th birthday. On November 1, 2016, St. Peter's CWL Parish Council in Dartmouth, put on a birthday celebration for her following the noon Mass,celebrated by Fr. Jim Richards and Fr. Charles Burke. Many St. Peter council members attended along with friends, family and League sisters from other parish CWL councils. Present at the celebration was her son Terry and her daughter, Marie, who is a member of St. Clement CWL council, Dartmouth. Halifax-Yarmouth Diocesan Council President, Elizabeth Doyle and Corresponding Secretary, Catherine Gonsalves attended the celebration on behalf of the Halifax-Yarmouth Diocesan CWL council. Elizabeth presented Sadie with a framed congratulatory certificate and a bouquet of flowers. Sadie expressed appreciation at being honoured by the Diocesan council. May God bless her with many more happy birthdays. Sadie has been a member of the CWL for 47 years,
